Earth Artwork
Doesn’t the sunset coupled with the rippling waves of sand make for a simply amazing photo?
Here the fierce ebb and flow of the waves and sands of the Ariake Sea paint a veritable piece of art which only Mother Nature could create.
It is truly a natural masterpiece. It’s art, pure art!
At low tide the mud flat stretches far out to sea, and when the tide just starts to go out it leaves behind a beautiful crescent moon pattern in the sands!
It is a truly breathtaking natural sight.
It leaves me speechless, but in a totally unique way!
You know how there are tears of happiness as well as tears of sadness?
Well in the same way you can be left speechless when you’re shocked, when you’re tired, or when you’ve just seen something breathtakingly beautiful.
Orange during sunset, purple at dusk, silver during the daytime, or golden during a full moon, this picturesque spot shines a different shade of beautiful no matter when you visit.
It’s also a great spot to go for a leisurely drive or on a date!
Fantastic sand crest
The mystical beauty of the rippling waves of sands will leave you breathless each and every time.
And on a clear day you can even see Mt. Unzen’s Fugen-dake peak far off in the distance!
Photographers the world over are drawn here during the winter season, February supposedly being the most beautiful time of year.
But really I think it’s beautiful no matter when you come.
But if I had to choose I guess the best time to come would be for that miraculous moment that happens only a few times a year when the low tide and the sunset come together to create their ultimate masterpiece!
While it looks great in pictures, I definitely think it’s worth seeing with your own eyes at least once!
Definitely be sure to go and check it out!
Ephemeral but shining
Swept away by the waves in just moments, the fleeting nature of this natural masterpiece makes it all the more special.
While you can of course get there by car, you could also take a short taxi ride from the nearest train station, too!
